About RIMC Dehradun
The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, is a premier military school established in 1922. It prepares boys for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA). RIMC admission is for Class VIII only, and the competition is extremely tough.

Exam Pattern
The RIMC entrance exam consists of two written papers followed by an interview and medical examination.

Paper I: English
– Total Marks: 125
– Duration: 2 hours

History: Ancient India (Indus Valley, Vedic Age, Mauryan & Gupta Empires), Medieval India (Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire), Modern India (British Rule, Freedom Struggle, Social Reformers)
Geography: Physical Geography (Earth, Continents, Oceans, Mountains, Rivers), Indian Geography (Physical Features, Climate, Natural Vegetation, Agriculture)
Civics: Indian Constitution, Fundamental Rights & Duties, Government Structure (Central, State, Local), Judiciary
Science: Physics (Force, Motion, Light, Sound), Chemistry (States of Matter, Elements & Compounds), Biology (Human Body, Plants, Animals, Health)
Current Affairs: Important national and international events, awards, sports, defense news

Eligibility Criteria
– Boys only
– Age: 11.5 to 13 years as of 1 January of admission year
– Must be medically fit
